From a3c4a2bce469b8cc656cf14145d310cd3531ae2e Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Alaa Hleihel Date: Sun, 10 May 2020 15:04:04 -0400 Subject: [PATCH 086/312] [netdrv] net/mlx5: FPGA, support network cards with standalone FPGA Message-id: <20200510150452.10307-40-ahleihel@redhat.com> Patchwork-id: 306663 Patchwork-instance: patchwork O-Subject: [RHEL8.3 BZ 1789380 v2 39/87] net/mlx5: FPGA, support network cards with standalone FPGA Bugzilla: 1789380 RH-Acked-by: Kamal Heib RH-Acked-by: Jarod Wilson RH-Acked-by: Tony Camuso RH-Acked-by: Jonathan Toppins Bugzilla: http://bugzilla.redhat.com/1789380 Upstream: v5.5-rc1 commit cc4db579e69b4c92a51fdc9f44bc671b40427824 Author: Igor Leshenko Date: Thu Sep 5 18:56:28 2019 +0300 net/mlx5: FPGA, support network cards with standalone FPGA Not all mlx5 cards with FPGA device use it for network processing. mlx5_core driver configures network connection to FPGA device for all mlx5 cards with installed FPGA. If FPGA is not a part of network path, driver crashes in this case Check FPGA name in function mlx5_fpga_device_start() and continue integrate FPGA into packets flow only for dedicated cards. Currently there are Newton and Edison cards.
